Hygiene & Product Grants
Simply the Basics provides various grants to support Hygiene Bank Members, helping them to get more hygiene to the community. Grants are either in the form of direct hygiene supplies from a manufacturing partner or pre-selected hygiene supplies up to a particular value.
Please note that while all Members are eligible to apply for grants, you can only receive a grant once every calendar year. If you have already received a grant in the fiscal year, you will not be eligible again until the next fiscal year.
In an effort to ensure funds are going toward organizations that statistically have the greatest impact and also statistically are least likely to receive financial support through other outlets - Simply the Basics works to prioritize organizations that demonstrate success in making hygiene more accessible to communities that would otherwise not have access, to organizations in rural or hard to reach areas, and to organizations that emphasize dignity and equitability.
Available Grant Opportunities
Fill Your Own Gap ($200 Value)
Description: During this time of the year, we often get an abundance of supplies! However, there is usually one or two items that are in short supply. Perhaps you haven’t received toothpaste in a while, or there is a greater need for diapers than usual. Whatever it might be, you let us know, and we will provide up to $200 value of that item!

Closed Grants
Staying Warm Outside ($400 Value)
Description: As the weather changes, so does the need for many of the people that we serve. We will be providing products to help in the rainy, cold, windy weather to help people remain safer while they spend hours outside. This includes Ponchos, Warming Blankets, Socks, and Hand/Food Warmers.

Flu & Cold Season Prep up to $500
Description: Flu and cold season is on the way—which means extra germs are too! 🦠 To help keep everyone protected, we’re providing face masks, hand sanitizer, wet wipes, and gloves. Organizations can receive up to $500 worth of supplies to help combat flu and cold season.

Infant Care up to $500
Description: The cost of diapers and baby wipes places a heavy financial burden on families, particularly those already struggling to meet basic needs. On average, a baby can go through 8–12 diapers a day, adding up to more than 3,000 diapers in the first year alone, an expense of over $1,000 annually, not including the ongoing cost of wipes. This grant aims to help bridge this gap by providing $500 worth of diapers and wipes to organizations that serve families with babies, ensuring that more parents have access to the essential supplies their children need to thrive.

Toilet Paper - FLASH GRANT!
Description: We have an opportunity to send a large quantity of toilet paper to you! You must be able to accept a pallet. Caboo makes tree-free household paper products from sustainable bamboo. Each pallet is 40x48x72 that contains 70 boxes. Each box has 24 individual wrapped rolls. The total amount of toilet paper would be 1680 rolls on 1 pallet.

Travel Sized Support
Description: Oftentimes, travel sized is a great option for people to grab what they need quickly, have a lighter load to carry, or to put into kits or outreach bags. This grant is specifically for travel sized products (soap, shampoo, body wash, deodorant, lotion). Up to $500 Value.

$100 Worth Of Hygiene Products
Description: We are so grateful for each and every one of our Members! 💛 Within the Hygiene Bank Association, we’re always working to make hygiene more accessible, from offering exclusive discounts on supplies and monthly hygiene grants, to providing tools and training that help organizations expand their reach and impact.
But what truly sets this community apart is you! The support, collaboration, and compassion we’ve witnessed over the past year has been incredible. Whether it’s teaming up for campaigns, sharing supply leads with one another, or jumping in during disasters to support those on the ground, our Members show up for each other in powerful ways.

Back to School Grant
Description: Do you provide supplies and support to schools? Get ready for the new year with this grant to be directed toward children and families! Supplies include all things you need to feel ready and confidence on your first day of class (Selection includes Deodorant, Soap, Shampoo, Toothbrush/Toothpaste, Menstrual, Combs, etc). Up to $750 Value.

Summer Supplies Grant
Description: Up to $500 of products to support the summer season, including SPF, Ponchos, Wet Wipes, and Hand Sanitizer. This is a great hygiene opportunity for organizations that provide supplies in outreach events outdoors or through walking outreach.

Flash Grant - Lipbalm and Bandages - THREE WINNERS!
Description: Receive 10 boxes of lip balm and 10 boxes of bandages (10,000 pieces of each!). Must be able to accept 20 boxes in one shipment. They come in polybags of 50. Boxes are 19 x 12 x 19.5

Method Brand Products Spring Grant
Description: Up to $1,000 of Method Products of your choosing! Method products are known for their quality due to a focus on rigorous quality control methods and high-quality materials. This includes thorough inspection of products at all stages of production and a commitment to using ingredients that meet specific standards.

LOLA Branded Menstrual Products
Description: Shop clean period products made with organic cotton. Pair LOLA's pads and tampons with period underwear or PMS cramp relief products for reliable protection and comfort. All products are hypoallergenic and gynecologist-approved. Up to $500 value; select items in application form.
Deadline: May 12, 2025
Hygiene Items OF YOUR CHOOSING!
Description: Choice is important to us as a value, we believe our recipients should be able to choose the items that they need most. And at the same time, we believe YOU should be able to choose what is most needed for your programs! This grant is meant to help full a gap of an item you are low on, something your clients often need and you need to restock. Up to $2,000 of items of your choosing in the application.

HoneyPot Menstrual Products
Description: HoneyPot Menstrual products are dermatologist tested, kind to skin, and plant-derived because it’s what your vagina deserves! Must be able to accept delivery of pallets. Mix of Pads, Tampons, and Sensitive Wipes. Value of up to $1,000.

Method Branded Body Wash
Description: Method body washes are high quality and packed with moisturizing ingredients like glycerin, aloe vera, or shea butter. These work locking in moisture to prevent dryness. For those with dry or sensitive skin, a hydrating body wash ensures that your skin feels soft and smooth, even after the hottest showers. We believe that quality is important and hope to support those of you who share this goal! Up to $1000 value.

Menstrual Care & Body Wipes
Description: This grant opportunity will enable you to provide menstrual care to those that need it in your communities, including body/vaginal wipes that are safe to use and unscented. We are looking to support organizations with a high number of people who menstruate and are receiving services from your programming. Up to $500 value in products!

Support for SoCal Fire Evacuees
Description: In response to the devastating fires in Los Angeles and surrounding areas, Simply the Basics is committed to ensuring that hygiene supplies are readily available for organizations supporting victims and evacuees. HBA Member Organizations can request supplies and we will do our best to respond and provide support to every organization. Together, we can offer comfort and care to those affected by these tragic events.

Stop the spread of virus & germs - up to $600 value
Description: This grant opportunity will enable you to provide essential supplies, including hand sanitizer, wet wipes, facemasks, and gloves, to prevent the spread of germs and viruses in our community. These items are critical during flu season, which peaks in the winter months and poses significant risks, particularly to our most vulnerable populations, such as children, the elderly, and individuals with compromised immune systems. With up to $600 in supplies, this hygiene will help to equip schools, shelters, and community centers with the resources they need to maintain proper hygiene and reduce transmission. HELP US HIGHLIGHT YOU - 100 bars of method soap for every entry
Description: High-quality soap, like the Method brand soap we’re providing, is essential for promoting health and dignity within our communities. With clean, top-grade ingredients, it ensures that people not only feel refreshed but are also protected from harmful bacteria and skin irritations. Every single entry will receive 100 bars of soap!
How to Participate:

Description: This grant opportunity is designed to provide critical hygiene items that offer warmth and comfort during the chilly months ahead. This grant will enable us to provide full-sized shampoo, soap, conditioner, and body wash, ensuring that individuals have consistent access to essential hygiene products that promote better health and well-being.

Fall Essentials - up to $750 Value
Description: As the weather begins to change, the need for essential items that provide warmth and protection from the elements becomes increasingly critical. This grant proposal seeks funding to supply hand warmers, ponchos, and lotion to individuals in need. These items are vital for maintaining physical health and comfort, especially for those without stable housing or access to adequate shelter. Back to School Grant - up to $1,000 Value
Description: The purpose of this grant opportunity is to support organizations and services that provide for families, specifically those that are geared toward services for children. We will select organizations that provide hygiene supplies to low-income students and families by evaluating their demonstrated commitment to supporting school-aged children. Preference will be given to initiatives that clearly outline how their efforts will facilitate children's return to school, even if the supplies are not directly distributed to schools. Recipients will be able to select up to $1,000 worth of Method Products (some restrictions apply). This grant is made possible through the support of Method, Inc.

Description: The purpose of this grant opportunity is to support organizations that distribute through in person outreach to people that are currently experiencing homelessness and/or spend majority of their time outdoors, such as through in person events, tabling events, drop in centers, and more! Please note that this grant is for events or distributions that go directly to people in need, and not through partnerships with other organizations. The Grant Winner will be receiving items that support people outdoors, including travel sized SPF, Water Bottles, Visors, Ponchos, and shower-free body wipes. Total value of up to $500.

Description: The purpose of this grant opportunity is to support organizations and services that have annual budget of less than $100,000. Winning grantee will receive up to $500 worth of any 1-3 hygiene products of their choosing.
