About the Speaker:
Guillermo brings over a decade of experience in workforce development, education, and career readiness, with a strong focus on supporting at-risk and underserved populations. Throughout his career, he has developed and led systems of support that help individuals navigate their unique paths into the workforce. Guillermo has guided countless students and jobseekers through workshops on resume writing, interview preparation, job search strategy, and leveraging AI tools for career growth, as well as through individualized coaching and employment readiness programs.
His approach is rooted in adaptability and empathy, understanding that each person’s background and journey are different, and tailoring his support to meet those specific needs. Beginning his own academic journey as a CCSF student before transferring to SF State to earn a B.A. in English Literature, Guillermo is deeply connected to the community he serves and passionate about creating pathways for others to succeed.
Outside of work, Guillermo enjoys catching the latest movies, staying active at the gym, spending time with family and friends, and finding spontaneous adventures in nature.
